”Maximising Value, Eliminating Waste”

Shah Alam, 17 March 2015 – In line with the role of enhancing productivity and innovation of the country, Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) is organizing Creanova Lean 2015 “Maximising Value, Eliminating Waste” as a platform for participants from different industries to exchange ideas, share experiences and interact on issues pertaining to performance and operational excellence.

Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Datuk Hamim Samuri said ”19 organisations which have implemented their lean management had recorded savings of RM 22 million from their respective lean management implementation.

”On the same note, another 15 organisations will be presented with Lean Recognition Certificate. They can be the referral point for other organisations to emulate to embark on Lean Management,” he said during his speech at opening of Creanova Lean 2015, today.

MPC has been actively promoting LEAN Implementation through consultancy and training programmes, fact finding study missions, hands-on workshops and best practices sharing session. In 2014, the public and private sectors have recorded savings of RM323 million on various initiatives to increase productivity and innovation.

LEAN refers to a collection of principles and methods that focuses on identifying and eliminating non-value added activities through continuous improvement products and services for the benefit of customers. It is indeed important for organisations to build an environment that can sustain productivity, competitiveness, creativity and innovation
