| A : |
MPC strongly believe that feedbacks from any organisations, interest groups and stakeholders, especially from the business community are important inputs to ensure that the activities of regulatory review resulted are relevant and benefited the target groups. This is due to the fact that the business community has better first-hand information about the problems that they are facing. So we would like to encourage all relevant interest groups to share their experiences and to make suggestions for improvements. MPC will publish best practices documents and regulatory review guidebook to help the business community to get involve actively in our regulatory review process. The MPC Regulatory Review Process is simplified as follows: - Take stock of all forms of regulations (priority given to the NKEA projects).
- Provide a review method, sufficient authority, expert and time to perform the review activities.
- Consult with government, industry associations, companies, interest groups, experts and other interested parties.
- Determine regulations that need to be retained / abolished / reformed and consolidated.
- Identify and assess regulatory burden and red tape, assess impact of regulation implementation and certification.
- Periodic regulation scanning, e.g., every 5 years.
Regulation certification will be awarded to regulators that comply to the minimum requirements of Regulation Best Practices. |
