Datuk Kamaruzzaman Johari
Chairman, Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC)
Datuk Kamaruzzaman Johari, 61, is the current Chairman of Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), appointed on 10 April 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of the Pacific, USA (1986).
With over 30 years of experience in both public and private sectors, his career spans engineering, infrastructure development, corporate management, and entrepreneurship policy. Notable positions he has held include Political Secretary to the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Special Strategy Director at Chairman Office of PUNB, Project Director at 'Class A' construction firms, and Engineering Manager at Gas Malaysia Berhad.
He leads the Board in setting the strategic direction to enhance national productivity and competitiveness. He is to position MPC as national reference point for productivity, with the goal of placing Malaysia among the world’s top 12 most competitive nations by 2030.
At the international level, he represents Malaysia as Director for Malaysia at the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), Tokyo, Japan, strengthening regional collaboration in green technology exchanges and industry, digital transformation, talent development, and regulatory reform.
