Shaping Talent, Powering Productivity

Workers contribute directly to productivity growth by applying skills, knowledge, and innovation in the workplace. Cross-border workers, such as frontaliers, also enhance labour market efficiency by filling gaps in specialised sectors, supporting output, and strengthening economic linkages across regions. Their participation raises the capacity of industries to produce more with available resources.
Students, meanwhile, represent future productivity gains. By investing in education and training—locally or abroad—they build human capital that fuels innovation, adaptability, and competitiveness. International student mobility also encourages knowledge transfer, cultural exchange, and long-term workforce development. Together, workers and students form a continuous cycle: today’s workforce drives current productivity, while today’s students shape the productivity of tomorrow.
