
NATIONAL POLICY ON
GOOD REGULATORY PRACTICE (NPGRP)

Background
The introduction of National Policy on the Development and Implementation of Regulation (NPDIR) which formalized in 2013, will be replaced with National Policy on Good Regulatory Practice (NPGRP) in providing clearer and better guidelines on the adoption of GRP. NPGRP will focus on improving quality of both new and existing regulations.


Objectives
1) To strengthen the compliance of GRP for introduction of new regulations and amendment of existing regulations in boosting of productivity and competitiveness in Malaysia; and
2) To inculcate the importance of GRP among policy makers particularly on ensuring quality of policy and regulations.
