LPN | Strategic Session on Transformation of The Logistics Industry

Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) through Logistics Productivity Nexus (LPN) successfully convened a two-day strategic session on transformation of the logistics industry. The session brought together over 20 representatives from both public and private sectors to deliberate on and validate the pressing issues, challenges and root causes faced by logistics industry players.

The primary objective was to identify bold and radical strategies, along with high-impact initiatives to effectively address these challenges and transform the industry. The session also featured a presentation by Puan Nazzatul Dasyeema from Pusat Logistik Negara (PLN), highlighting the current performance of Malaysia’s logistics sector.

Participants engaged in comprehensive discussions to formulate transformative strategies and initiatives that aim to modernize the structure and business models of the logistics industry, making it more technologically advanced, competitive and capable of delivering greater productivity and economic impact.

The strategies and initiatives identified are aligned with the five key thrust areas outlined in the Malaysia Productivity Blueprint (MPB) 2017 namely talent development, technology adoption, incentive structure, business environment and productivity governance.

In parallel, LPN is committed to strengthening collaboration with a broader range of industry players to ensure more inclusive input and effective strategies developed to address fundamental policy challenges in Malaysia’s logistics ecosystem.

The program aimed to promote effective business practices and foster a culture of integrated productivity, accelerate industrial transformation through the adoption of AI and digital technologies to strengthen business competitiveness, and equip the workforce with the necessary skills to leverage technology effectively—ultimately driving innovation and improving operational efficiency. Facilitated by strategic partner MIMOS Services Sdn Bhd, the program provided participants with hands-on exposure to AI tools designed to support the implementation of Proof of Concepts (POC) Projects, enabling industries to test and validate AI solutions within their operational environment. These tools are expected to help streamline processes, enhance productivity, and strengthen decision-making capabilities. Moving forward, the AI for Productivity Transformation Program Batch 4 is scheduled for September 2025, continuing the momentum to equip more industries with the knowledge, skills, and technology readiness needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive and digital-driven marketplace. #SarawakProductive #AIforProductivity

#SarawakProduktif #MemacuProduktivitiNegara #EODB
