SESI PERBINCANGAN BERSAMA WAKIL-WAKIL DARI BUMIPUTERA SME ASSOCIATION BERKAITAN ESG


Sesi Perbincangan Bersama Wakil-Wakil dari Bumiputera SME Association Berkaitan ESG telah diadakan di Bilik Majlis MPC HQ Petaling Jaya bersama Ketua Pengarah MPC, Encik Zahid Ismail, Pengarah MSF Encik Mohd Yazid Abdul Jalil, Dr Faridah Taju Rahim, Encik Zuraidi Zainol dan Encik Mohd Wafi Arip.

Objektif perbincangan ini dijalankan adalah untuk membincangkan impak Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) kepada pengusaha kecil dan sederhana (SMEs) di Malaysia. Pada ketika ini, penerapan amalan ESG adalah amat penting kepada SMEs kerana pada tahun 2022, SME kerugian sebanyak RM292 billion oleh kerana tidak mematuhi amalan ESG yang dilaporkan oleh Sustainable Finance Institute Asia.

Wakil Bumiputera SME Association memberi cadangan penyelesaian kepada pihak MPC terhadap masalah yang dihadapi dengan mencadangkan penggunaan rangka kerja Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide (SEDG), mewujudkan asas kewangan tambahan prestasi ESG untuk Mikro & SMEs, melatih Mikro & SMEs menggunakan konsep penjimatan kos dalam ESG dan memetakan prestasi dengan keperluan pelanggan untuk pelaporan.

The AI Transformation Programme, titled "Generative AI: Fuelling the Next Wave of Productivity & Growth for Automotive", was successfully held at MPC KL. Organised by the Automotive Productivity Nexus (AutoPN) in collaboration with Digital Productivity Nexus (DPN), this class focused on introducing automotive industry players to the practical capabilities and strategic value of Generative AI. The session featured key topics such as understanding generative AI’s potential, productivity impact, deployment of no-code AI applications, and real-world use cases. Participants also engaged in an interactive hands-on demo using tools like Gemini and AppSheet, reinforcing the application of AI in day-to-day operations. This class was designed to spark awareness and encourage adoption of generative AI technologies as part of broader productivity transformation initiatives. The strong engagement and insightful exchanges during the session reflect growing interest among industry players to explore AI as a competitive enabler for the future of automotive manufacturing.

Sesi perbincangan bersama pakar industri telah diadakan bagi memperhalusi proses kelulusan keperluan teknikal dalam pembinaan kilang farmaseutikal. Perbincangan ini bertujuan memastikan setiap keperluan teknikal diteliti dengan lebih mendalam demi mempercepatkan kelulusan projek pembinaan kilang farmaseutikal di Malaysia. Sebagai langkah seterusnya, PPN akan menganjurkan Bengkel Pengharmonian Keperluan Teknikal bagi Pembinaan Kilang Farmaseutikal. Bengkel ini akan mengumpulkan input serta membincangkan isu dan cabaran yang dihadapi oleh industri, khususnya berkaitan proses mendapatkan kelulusan daripada pihak BOMBA.

Kerjasama strategik ini bertujuan membantu PKS lebih bersedia menghadapi cabaran ekonomi digital. Sesi bimbingan telah diadakan antara MPC Sarawak dengan UNIMAS dan UiTM Sarawak. Sesi tersebut merupakan perbincangan awal dalam penyediaan projek di bawah Program Reformasi Kerenah Birokrasi (RKB). Pelaksanaan program ini merupakan sebuah kerjasama yang melibatkan institusi pengajian tinggi di Sarawak. The recent meeting focused on reviewing the progress of ongoing initiatives under MEPN Working Group 4. A key highlight of the session was the introduction of a new project titled THINK: M&E (Tools for Hands-on Industrial Knowledge). The initiative targets aspiring or early-stage SMEs in machining, fabrication, or design—especially Tier 2 to Tier 4 suppliers. THINK aims to provide structured support for companies poised to adopt CAD/CAM or digital shop floor tools, helping them transition at a critical stage of operational growth. The project reflects MEPN WG4’s continued commitment to uplifting the M&E industry through timely and practical support for digitalisation.

The A.I. Transformation Class 1 was successfully completed with the participation of 18 attendees representing 9 companies, marking a strong start to the programme. Organized by the Automotive Productivity Nexus (AutoPN) in strategic collaboration with Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sendirian Berhad (Perodua), this class aims to build AI competencies, enhance productivity, and embed a culture of continuous improvement within the automotive ecosystem. The module was developed in response to Perodua’s emphasis on the critical need for accurate data collection, a foundation for driving productivity improvements across the intended ecosystem. Moving forward, several potential AI projects will be identified for enterprise-level implementation, with an expected outcome of boosting operational efficiency by up to 25%.
