LANGKAWI: The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) has launched the Aerospace Productivity Nexus (AeroPN) Tech-Up Financing Programme in collaboration with the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association (MAIA), marking a significant milestone in bolstering Malaysia’s aerospace sector.

In a statement released today in conjunction with the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) 2025 exhibition, the MPC said the AeroPN Tech-Up Financing Programme is designed to assist aerospace enterprises in fostering technological advancement and productivity enhancement.

“Under the programme, financing is provided by MBSB Bank, complemented by equity contributions from the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) via Redeemable Convertible Preference Shares (RCPS).

“This dual-support framework ensures robust financial backing aligned with Bank Negara Malaysia’s regulatory guidelines and the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry’s (Miti) strategic vision outlined in the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP),” it said.

MPC director-general Datuk Zahid Ismail said the collaboration with MAIA underscores MPC’s commitment to catalyse industry growth and competitiveness.

“By leveraging advanced technologies and strengthening financial systems, we aim to elevate economic structures, bolster gross domestic product (GDP), and drive national productivity,” he added.
