Malaysia Supports Avionics Breakthrough: Inviting E&E Industry Players To Join Forces With The Aerospace Sector
Kuala Lumpur, 10 April 2025 – The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), through the Aerospace Productivity Nexus (AeroPN), in collaboration with the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association (MAIA), will host a world-class strategic workshop on 17 April 2025. Themed "Connecting Aerospace and E&E: Synergy for Success", the event aims to bridge the aerospace and electrical & electronics (E&E) sectors to cultivate a competitive and innovative avionics ecosystem in Malaysia.
The E&E sector plays a pivotal role in advancing modern avionics technology, which not only fosters innovation in flight systems but also enhances Malaysia’s global competitiveness. This workshop will bring together players from both the aerospace and E&E industries, as well as government agencies, to explore collaboration opportunities in avionics development—particularly in areas such as flight systems, sensors, and electronic integration.
As avionics technology rapidly evolves through the use of sophisticated electronic systems, the involvement of E&E industry players in this initiative will open new avenues for innovation and knowledge exchange. Such collaboration enables E&E companies to expand the application scope of their technologies within the aerospace industry, thereby contributing to improved efficiency, safety, and sustainability in Malaysia’s aviation sector. Furthermore, this initiative offers E&E players the opportunity to showcase their products and solutions to the rapidly expanding global aerospace market.
Mr Naguib Mohd Nor, Champion of AeroPN, highlighted that the workshop will feature presentations by leading experts from both sectors. Following these presentations, networking sessions will be held to facilitate interaction, knowledge sharing, and experience exchange. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop collaborative strategies to capitalise on opportunities in the avionics domain. The workshop will include focused group discussions aimed at crafting a collaborative roadmap for the development of smart, scalable, and globally competitive aviation technologies.
This initiative also supports the implementation of the National Industrial Master Plan (NIMP), which seeks to strengthen value chain integration, advance high-technology industries, promote sustainable solutions, and cultivate a skilled workforce through cross-sector collaboration. Participation in the workshop represents a vital step towards the development of innovative technologies that not only benefit the aviation sector but also bolster Malaysia’s position in the global high-tech landscape.
YBhg. Datuk Zahid Ismail, Director General of MPC, emphasised that synergy between the aerospace and E&E sectors will play a key role in driving the structural transformation of the national economy.
“Collaboration between these sectors will unlock new opportunities that propel technological advancement, create high-skilled employment, and spur economic growth. This workshop offers the ideal platform to connect, contribute, and shape the future of Malaysia’s aerospace technology,” he said.
