MPC Initiative: Aeropn Tech-Up Financing Program Launches At LIMA'25

Langkawi, May 20 - The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) proudly launches the Aerospace Productivity Nexus (AeroPN) Tech-Up Financing Program, in collaboration with the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association (MAIA). This pioneering initiative, unveiled at the 17th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA'25), marks a significant milestone in bolstering Malaysia's aerospace sector.

Officiated by YB Tuan Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), the launch event highlighted the program's pivotal role in enhancing aerospace companies' capabilities through comprehensive financing and equity support. "The AeroPN Tech-Up Financing Program is designed to assist aerospace enterprises to foster technological advancement and productivity enhancement.” remarked YB Tuan Liew Chin Tong.

Under the program, financing is provided by MBSB Bank, complemented by equity contributions from the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) via Redeemable Convertible Preference Shares (RCPS). This dual-support framework ensures robust financial backing aligned with Bank Negara Malaysia's regulatory guidelines and MITI's strategic vision outlined in the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP).

"The collaboration with MAIA underscores our commitment to catalyze industry growth and competitiveness," stated Datuk Zahid Ismail, Director General of MPC.

"By leveraging advanced technologies and strengthening financial systems, we aim to elevate economic structures, bolster GDP, and drive national productivity."

Mr. Naguib Mohd Nor, President of MAIA, emphasized the program's industry-specific benefits, stating, "The AeroPN Tech-Up Financing Program addresses critical industry needs, positioning Malaysian aerospace firms on a trajectory of sustainable growth and global competitiveness."

The launch ceremony at LIMA'25 signifies a strategic alignment of public and private sectors, reinforcing Malaysia's position as a regional aerospace hub. It underscores the program's strong value proposition, tailored to meet evolving industry demands and accelerate economic advancement.
