Pahang Government and Productivity Corporation Jointly Draft Tourism Strategy

(Kuantan, 2nd) The Pahang State Government has collaborated with the Malaysian Productivity Corporation to formulate a preliminary draft of the Tourism Strategic Plan 2025 to 2030 as a guide for the state’s tourism development in the next five years.


The Malaysian Productivity Corporation said in a statement that the two parties also held a strategic meeting today. In addition to reaching a consensus on the above matters, they also conducted a comprehensive analysis of the challenges currently facing the tourism industry, including insufficient publicity, shortage of skilled labor and the need to improve infrastructure.


The meeting was opened by Pahang Unity, Tourism and Culture Committee Chairman Liang Yaowen, while the Pahang branch director of the committee, Nor Aishah, delivered a welcome speech.


Through this meeting, the core plans for tourism development in various regions were further clarified, ensuring that the tourism industry can achieve more precise, inclusive and sustainable development based on the uniqueness and potential of each place.


The statement pointed out that the conference not only emphasized the importance of technological innovation in the development of the tourism industry but also laid the foundation for the future tourism industry in Pahang.


“This project is expected to promote Pahang as a key tourism destination in Malaysia and bring positive impact on economic growth, job opportunities and overall contribution of tourism industry in the state.”
