RKB SARAWAK – BENGKEL 1: MENGANALISIS MASALAH


Bengkel Reformasi Kerenah Birokrasi (RKB) Wilayah Sarawak memberi tumpuan kepada pemetaan isu dan analisis cabaran dalam sistem penyampaian perkhidmatan awam. 

Peserta dibimbing mengenal pasti masalah utama dan merangka objektif awal projek intervensi. YBrs. Dr. Mohamad Norjayadi Tamam, Timbalan Ketua Pengarah, MPC, menyampaikan ucapan aluan dan menekankan kepentingan pelaksanaan RKB secara berterusan agar memberi manfaat kepada rakyat dan industri.

Sebanyak lapan (8) projek RKB sedang dibangunkan melibatkan Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Utara (DBKU), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Unit Transformasi dan Inovasi Sarawak (STIU), Jabatan Premier Sarawak, Cawangan Kawalan Amalan Perubatan Swasta, Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (CKAPS, KKM), Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Sarawak (UiTM Sarawak), Perbadanan Multimedia Sarawak (Sarawak Multimedia Authority - SMA), dan Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia (MOTAC).

3 projek RKB yang berpotensi telah dikenal pasti daripada Kementerian Pengangkutan Sarawak (MOTS), Kementerian Pembangunan Kerajaan Tempatan Sarawak (MPHLG), dan Kementerian Pendidikan, Inovasi dan Pembangunan Bakat Sarawak (MEITD).

Dapatan bengkel ini menjadi asas pembangunan intervensi bersasar dalam sesi seterusnya bagi memperkukuh sistem penyampaian perkhidmatan awam.

A total of 40 participants attended the session and showed keen interest in exploring opportunities to participate in the program. This initiative aligns with national priorities to drive smart technology adoption across various sectors in Sarawak. The session featured two key speakers. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Nizar Harun, MPC Associate, delivered an introductory briefing on the role of AI in enhancing work process efficiency and fostering innovation. This was followed by Mr. Nurman Muhaini, Director of EXIM Bank, who presented available financing incentives to support industry adoption of AI technologies. As part of the way forward, the first AI training session is scheduled to commence in July 2025, with a target of four training batches to be implemented progressively. The session was graced by Datu Mohamad Junaidi Mohidin, Director of Yayasan Sarawak, who shared insights on various initiatives led by its subsidiaries and highlighted the increasing demand for skilled talents in the aerospace and electrical sectors to meet evolving industry requirements. As a way forward, a briefing session will be conducted with Yayasan Sarawak subsidiaries to explore how their initiatives can be embedded within the ADI framework, with a particular focus on implementing skills development programs in facility management. Additionally, engagement sessions will be organized with educational and training institutions, including CENTEX and state universities, to strengthen alignment and collaboration. Further, the ADI team will work closely with the GovTech unit to introduce AI-based training programs aimed at enhancing operational efficiency within Yayasan Sarawak. #SarawakProductive

This online meeting introduced MPC’s programme on transforming enterprise productivity through AI and digital adoption, with a focus on the automotive sector to enhance national competitiveness through digital transformation and operational excellence. The initiative, in collaboration with Perodua, P2SA, and PVA, includes hands-on AI training and implementation support. This session with Ingress Technologies Sdn Bhd and SHJ Interia Sdn Bhd highlighted their participation in this initiative, where a Proof of Concept (POC) project will be materialised at their companies to demonstrate practical applications of AI in improving productivity, decision-making, and innovation. #AIProductivity

The Private Healthcare Productivity Nexus (PHPN) Governing Committee Meeting 2025, held today, convened representatives from the Ministry of Economy, MITI, Ministry of Health, MIDA, Assosciation of Private Hospital, Malaysia (APHM) and prominent private healthcare industry experts. Their collective focus centred on the nation's compelling Silver & Care Economy, identified as a pivotal engine for substantial national productivity growth. Discussions illuminated how targeted elder care initiatives are proven catalysts for enhancing national output, optimising workforce participation, and advancing overall economic efficiency. Key strategies explored encompassed long-term care insurance, the elevated professionalisation of the care sector, and groundbreaking Malaysia-Japan collaborations. The imperative next phase involves decisive implementation of these core initiatives, commencing with a pivotal coordination session to ensure seamless execution and maximum discernible national productivity impact.

Projek uji kaji ini dijadualkan bermula pada 1 Ogos 2025 dan akan dilaksanakan di Bahagian Sibu. Sesi ini telah menjadi platform strategik untuk menilai tahap kesiapsiagaan pelaksanaan projek, mengenal pasti potensi integrasi sistem digital secara menyeluruh melalui pelaksanaan sistem sehenti dan penggunaan borang seragam, serta mengumpul maklum balas langsung daripada pelbagai pihak berkepentingan. Antara yang terlibat termasuk agensi pelesenan, pihak berkuasa tempatan, kementerian dan jabatan teknikal yang berkaitan. Inisiatif ini menyasarkan peningkatan penubuhan perniagaan baharu di Sarawak dengan mewujudkan ekosistem yang lebih mesra perniagaan, mengurangkan masa dan kos permulaan, serta meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan terhadap perkhidmatan kerajaan. Shaifubahrim Saleh emphasizing the importance of digital transformation for economic growth, followed by Aiman Zakwan from MPC who presented MPC's initiatives to accelerate productivity anchored in Malaysia’s MADANI Economy and MyDIGITAL frameworks. Puan Sharifah Norashikin from MATRADE provided practical insights on how Malaysian MSMEs are being supported to scale globally through export-readiness and international market access. The meeting reinforced the importance of aligning workforce capabilities with Sarawak’s productivity agenda. MPC Sarawak shared key initiatives including the Akademi Dalam Industri (ADI) and AI for Productivity Transformation for Industry program. Both initiatives aim to enhance industrial productivity through in-house talent development and digital adoption. The committee expressed strong support, highlighting sectoral needs for skilled workers in oil and gas as well as data analytics. Members also acknowledged the relevance of these programs to the region's economic direction. Further insights were shared by Sarawak Skills, including the promotion of the Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) program and updates on Smart Home and Smart Solar technology adoption projects. They also presented their involvement in green energy initiatives, particularly in the hydrogen sector, showcasing their commitment to future-ready, sustainable workforce development. The way forward from this meeting includes the implementation of the ADI-SKM programme in SALCRA, as well as the AI for Productivity Transformation Program in collaboration with Sarawak Skills as the designated Technology Centre. #SarawakProductive
