These strategic discussions were held with a significant focus to in developing impactful strategies that will lead to significant growth in pharmaceutical export activities. The main objective of this discussion is to streamline proposed input based on the brainstorming session held during the first meeting on 17 May 2024. The input discussed on the issues hindering the local industry to grow the local pharmaceutical industry to Export.
The session was co-chaired by Mr.Abdul Halim Mohamed Shariff from MATRADE and Mr. Jimmy Piong, a distinguished MOPI EXCO member and Managing Director of Kotra Pharma Sdn Bhd.

Satu sesi produktif telah diadakan bersama pihak NIOSH yang dipengerusikan oleh YBhg. Dato' Haji Ayop Salleh, Pengarah Eksekutif NIOSH. Sesi ini memberi tumpuan kepada perbincangan halatuju peningkatan produktiviti dalam pelaksanaan inisiatif Pro-HVDT yang dirangka khusus untuk memperkasakan ekosistem seperti dalam kemahiran dan kecekapan pemanduan kenderaan berat yang mengendalikan bahan kimia di Malaysia mulai suku tahun keempat 2025. Antara perkara utama yang dibincangkan termasuk cadangan permohonan Geran Penggalak HRDCorp bagi memperluas capaian inisiatif ini kepada kumpulan pemandu industri serta perancangan majlis pelancaran rasmi dan penyampaian sijil kepada para peserta. Inisiatif ini dijangka memberi impak positif kepada sektor seperti industri kimia yang menuntut tahap profesionalisme dan pematuhan keselamatan yang tinggi, khususnya dalam pengendalian bahan berbahaya.

Seminar Pelaksanaan Langkah-Langkah Kecekapan Tenaga di Premis Kerajaan pada 28 Julai 2025 di Hotel Sama-Sama, KLIA telah menghimpunkan perwakilan daripada semua kementerian dan agensi bagi memperkukuh pelaksanaan langkah kecekapan tenaga tanpa kos, selaras dengan arahan Pejabat Ketua Setiausaha Negara. Antara outcome utama termasuk penyeragaman pelabelan Building Energy Intensity (BEI) bagi bangunan kerajaan sebagai asas penambahbaikan kecekapan tenaga, yang secara langsung menyumbang ke arah penurunan Energy Intensity (EI) negara dalam penarafan World Competitiveness Ranking (WCR). Seminar ini turut berperanan sebagai platform penjajaran strategik dasar ke arah sektor awam yang lebih mampan, cekap tenaga dan berdaya saing. #EEProductivity #GREENProductivity

The development of the Accessible Badge criteria under the Malaysia Tourism Excellence (MaTEx) Business Certification programme was further refined through TPN and Asia Pacific Network on Accessible Tourism (APNAT)’s engagement with M World Hotel. This collaboration helped ensure the standards are not only inclusive but also capable of driving productivity and service excellence in the tourism sector. M World Hotel, known for its exemplary accessible and inclusive hospitality practices, served as a key reference point. The team assessed how the draft criteria align with real-world implementation, focusing on infrastructure readiness, service efficiency, guest experience, and inclusivity. By grounding the Accessible Badge in actual best practices, this initiative ensures the final criteria are practical, relevant, and aligned with national productivity goals. The Machinery & Equipment Productivity Nexus (MEPN) successfully convened its Governing Committee (NGC) Meeting Bil. 2/2025, chaired by the newly appointed MEPN Champion, Mr. Tiong Khe Hock. The session brought together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors, including representatives from MIDF, MATRADE, MIDA, SIRIM, and SEDA. The meeting began with the presentation of the MEPN Strategic Framework by Mr. Tiong, providing an overarching view of the Nexus’ direction. This was followed by progress updates from the Working Group (WG) leaders, each outlining focused initiatives for 2025. WG1, focused on upskilling the SME workforce, presented its planned tracks on digitalisation, AI readiness, productivity, and the OPERI assessment tool. WG2, which is already in progress, reported on Project PINTAR, the upcoming IPS (Industry Productivity Specialist) Training, and nationwide outreach efforts. WG3 shared plans for targeted interventions under PINTAR to enable digital and ESG readiness among SMEs. Meanwhile, WG4 updated on its ongoing efforts, including the Global Supply Chain Excellence initiative, Risk to Resilience Workshops, THINK: M&E platform, and the Strategic Productivity Roadmap. In addition to strategic discussions and project updates, the committee also welcomed several new members, further enriching the diversity and depth of expertise within the Nexus. The meeting was marked by strong support and constructive feedback, with members expressing optimism about the progress made and showing clear enthusiasm to enhance coordination and collaboration among all stakeholders. The positive tone and forward-looking momentum reaffirmed MEPN’s role as a national platform to drive productivity transformation across the Machinery & Equipment sector.

Perbadanan Produktiviti Malaysia (MPC) melalui Nexus Produktiviti Logistik (LPN) telah mengadakan sesi libat urus bagi memperkasa ekosistem logistik khususnya berkaitan dengan aktiviti pelepasan kontena (off dock) import dan eksport. Program ini dihadiri oleh seramai 63 orang mewakili 38 syarikat terdiri daripada persatuan dan syarikat haulier, FMM dan freight forwarders. Program ini bertujuan untuk meneliti cabaran semasa dalam operasi logistik, mendapatkan maklumbalas serta cadangan penambahbaikan serta merangka hala tuju strategik ke arah mempertingkatkan produktiviti dan daya saing sektor logistik negara. Sesi ini dimulakan dengan pembentangan initiatif Container Logistics Ecosystem (CLE) sebagai satu model penyelesaian kepada isu struktur dan kecekapan pelepasan kontena. CLE merupakan pendekatan bersepadu yang menekankan kepada digitalisasi dan keseragaman proses antara pelbagai pihak. Selain itu, perbincangan membawa kepada isu utama termasuk kos operasi dan keperluan ruang penambahbaikan kepada sistem pemantauan kontena yang efisien. Perbincangan juga membuka ruang maklumbalas dalam menguruskan pelepasan kontena dan pentingnya kolaborasi antara agensi kerajaan dan pihak swasta dalam menangani isu ini secara holistik. Hasil perbincangan, pihak industri menyambut baik initiatif CLE bagi meningkatkan kecekapan operasi pelepasan kontena yang terbukti dapat menjimatkan kos dan mengurangkan masa menunggu. Pihak LPN dalam hala tujunya terus komited dan akan mengadakan sesi libat urus seterusnya bersama pelabuhan pelabuhan lain seperti Kuantan, Sarawak dan Sabah bagi meningkatkan produktiviti sektor logistik serta memperkasa initiatif ini ke seluruh pelabuhan berpotensi di Malaysia.

Discussions emphasized the need to make AI programs more practical and accessible, highlighting the role of pilot projects supported by MPC in fostering real-world implementation. The use of Agentic AI—autonomous systems that operate toward specific goals—was identified as a strategic enabler for operational transformation.
